Pilates exercises – crisscross adjustment
In this picture, Laura is helping Carmalita achieve good alignment in her legs and feet while she is doing the crisscross. This can be challenging because many students allow their hips and to rock side to side which affects alignment of the legs. By holding your hands where you would like your clients to reach their feet, you can help them achieve better alignment. We learn adjustments in our Feel Good Pilates Teacher Training program. Roll-up – tactile cueing
This is an adjustment for the roll-up, one of the classical Pilates exercises. In this picture, Laura is helping Carmalita slow down on the roll-down portion of the roll-up exercise. Laura is grabbing on to Carmalita’s wrists then giving her just a little bit of support as she asks Carmalita to slow down the roll-down as much as she can on her own.
