Hatha is also translated as ha meaning “sun” and tha meaning “moon.” This refers to the balance of masculine aspects—active, hot, sun—and feminine aspects—receptive, cool, moon—within all of us. Hatha yoga is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites.
A great class for all students to calm the nervous system, mind, and body for the end of the day. A typical class includes balancing postures to improve the health of the nervous system, spine strengthening postures and deeper, nourishing stretches on the floor. Modified versions of postures are offered, making this class suitable for beginners and people with injuries. More challenging options are also offered to more advanced students. Each class ends with a relaxation and often a story, visualization and/or mantra music.
