Fitness Pilates takes all the good stuff from a Pilates Mat class and adds more standing sequences. You can expect to have greater combinations of movements, increased cardio effort, and more resistance than a typical mat class in for form of hand weights and resistance bands. Participants can expect to strengthen their core and spine while they tone their entire body. Improved body awareness, deeper breathing, better balance and coordination are other side effects of this class.
This Pilates mat class is appropriate for those discovering the benefits of Pilates for the first time, but is also appropriate for those who wish to immerse themselves further in the basics of Pilates exercise technique while enjoying a fun, safe workout. In order to add more fun, variety and an extra strength building component, students will use resistance equipment such as the magic circle, foam rollers, flex bands, mini stability balls and dumbbells. Strengthen, tone, stretch, relax and rejuvenate in this fun, relaxed setting.
