Saw

The primary intent of the saw is to develop control of the oblique abdominals and teach us to use the core muscles instead of the shoulders for rotation.

The saw has the following additional benefits and objectives:

  • improves the length of the hamstrings and adductors
  • develop strength in the back extensors
  • trims the waist line
  • improves our ability to engage in spinal rotation and articulation through engagement of the abdominals

One Leg Circle

Fundamental exercises for the saw include Lateral thoracic breathing, shoulder shrugs, chin nod, knee folds, cat, roll down, creating a C-curve, torso twists, rotating arms.
