Feel Good Yoga Teacher Training – Level 2 (300 hour upgrade)

Feel Good Yoga Teacher Training Level II (RYT 500)

This Yoga Teacher Training program builds upon your Feel Good Yoga Teacher Training Level I program. This is a modularized program where you can pick and choose à la carte which area of your yoga teaching you would like to build upon. The modules will cover topics such as:

  • yoga therapy (if you wish to pursue a yoga therapy designation)
  • techniques for teaching classes for more specialized populations such as yoga for kids, yoga for teenagers, yoga for third age as well as pre-and postnatal yoga classes
  • how to teach rich thematic classes around central yogic concepts such as the Brahmivihari (the sublime attitudes), the Four Purushathas (aims of life), and the yogic gods and goddesses.
  • deepen your understanding of Aryuveda so that you can apply yoga for specific, therapeutic purposes.

Learning to teach rich thematic classes will allow you to more easily integrate the philosophy of yoga into your classes in a way that will allow your students to internalize the fundamental concepts of yoga. Your classes will enable your students to more easily integrate these life transforming yogic tools into their daily lives. You will learn how the deities personify qualities within each of us that we can tap into when needed, during our most primal moments.

During the thematic yoga teacher training modules, mantras and mudras will be explored within the context of teaching a yoga class. You will learn how to build class themes around mantras and mudras which will also help your students more easily set an intention and more easily integrate the fundamental concepts of yoga into their lives.

During the Aryuvedic yoga teacher training modules, the doshas and chakras will be further explored within the context of teaching a yoga class. You will learn how to build class themes around chakras and gain a deeper understanding of how to help your students bring their chakras into balance.

The Feel Good Yoga Teacher Training School welcomes students with the RYT200 Yoga Teacher Training designation from other Yoga Teacher Training schools than Feel Good.

Yoga teachers in need of Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for Yoga Alliance or the BCRPA are welcome. Modules from the 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training are broken down into 20 hour yoga teacher training components that can be taken as one cohesive course or as individual Yoga Alliance and/or BCRPA workshops. Students may begin the training after completing a minimum of 1/3 of the Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training program. Confused? 200 hours, 300 hours, 500 hours, RTY200 and RYT500

You are eligible to purchase insurance and teach yoga after completion of the Level I Yoga Teacher Training program. Teachers wishing to expand their knowledge and sharpen their skills as teachers often choose to work towards their 500 hour RYT designation by continuing on with level II.

Students who take the Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training program at Feel Good need to complete the 300 hour upgrade in order to achieve the Yoga Alliance 500 hour level (RTY500). In your Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training program, we acknowledge the time you spend doing homework and practicing meditation and pranayama. Your certificate will say that you have completed 300 hours of teacher training and this will add to your credibility as a yoga teacher. However, Yoga Alliance will only acknowledge the 200 contact classroom hours of your Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training program.
